Cummins

Cummins manufacturers a host of products mainly focused on engines and complementary products including filtration products, turbochargers, and aftermarket systems. Cummins engines and products are utilized in a broad range of end markets including heavy and medium duty trucks, bus, RVs, agricultural, mining, marine and oil & gas sector applications. CMI's operations are broken into five segments: Engine (34% of 2017 revenues), Distribution (27%), Components (23%), Power Systems (16%), and Electrified Power. CMI maintains long-term heavy-duty engine supply agreements with leading global medium and heavy duty truck makers, and, on the light vehicle front, provides engines to the Ram pickup trucks. PACCAR is, by far, CMI's single largest customer accounting for 14% of 2017 sales, and, collectively, the four customers (PACCAR, Daimler, Navistar, and FCA) with which the firm maintains long-term supply agreements, accounted for 33% of its FY17 sales. On a total sales basis (including unconsolidated JVs) CMI's largest market in terms of 2017 revenue was the US and Canada with 58% with the remainder in international markets. (02 Jul 2018)
