CNOOC

CNOOC Ltd is an upstream oil and gas company specializing in oil and natural gas exploration, development and production. CNOOC Ltd is one of the largest oil and natural gas exploration and production companies in the world in terms of reserves and production. 65% of total revenue came from customers in China. As of 31 December 2017, CNOOC Ltd had net proved reserves of approximately 4.84 bn BOE and in FY17, the company a total net oil and gas production of 1.28 mn BOE per day. Unlike its competitors Sinopec and PetroChina, CNOOC Ltd sources most of its oil from offshore oil rigs. The company produces the majority of its oil (41%) from oil rigs in the waters of the Bohai Rim region. As of December 31, 2017. 64% of CNOOC's production took place in Chinese waters. Overseas projects are spread across the world, with major projects in Canada, the US, the UK, Nigeria, Argentina, Indonesia, Brazil, and Guyana. (27 Sep 2018)
